CONCERNING
AMENDMENT TO REGULATION OF THE MINISTER OF FINANCE
No. 61/PMK.010/2006
ON
RELIEF OF IMPORT DUTY ON THE IMPORT OF BUS CHASSIS WITH INSTALLED ENGINE
FOR MANUFACTURING OF PUBLIC TRANSPORT BUSES AND
COMPLETELY KNOCK DOWN (CKD) FOR MANUFACTURING COMMERCIAL TRANSPORT.

THE MINISTER OF FINANCE

Considering:

a. that in the framework of fuelling the need for public transport facilities as well as boosting the growth of domestic assemble industries, it is deemed necessary to provide Customs facility in the form of relief of import duty on the import of bus chassis with installed engine for manufacturing public transport buses and Completely Knock Down (CKD) for manufacturing commercial transport;
b. that pursuant to the transitional provision of law No. 17/2006 on the Amendment to Law No. 10/1995 concerning Customs, the existing technical directives in the Customs field remain effective as long as they do not contravene and/or have not regulated by new technical directives on the basis of this Law and Customs affairs not yet settled upon the enforcement of this law are settled on the basis of legislation provisions relieving everybody;
c. that based on the consideration as intended in paragraphs a and b, it is necessary to stipulate a regulation of the Minister of Finance on the Amendment to Regulation of the Minister of Finance No. 61/PMK.10/2006 on relief of import duty on the import of chassis bus with installed engine for manufacturing public transport buses and Completely Knock Down (CKD) for manufacturing commercial transport;

In view of:

1. Law No. 10/1995 on Customs (Statute Book of 1995 No. 75, Supplement to Statute Book No. 3612) as has already been amended by law No. 17/2006 (Statute Book of 2006 No. 93, Supplement to Statute Book No. 4661);
2. Presidential Decree No. 20/P/2005;
3. Regulation of the Minister of Finance No. 61/PMK.10/2006 on relief of import duty on the import of chassis bus with installed engine for manufacturing public transport buses and Completely Knock Down (CKD) for manufacturing commercial transport;

HAS DECIDED:

THE REGULATION OF THE MINISTER OF FINANCE ON THE AMENDMENT TO REGULATION OF THE MINISTER OF FINANCE No. 61/PMK.010/2006 ON RELIEF OF IMPORT DUTY ON THE IMPORT OF BUS CHASSIS WITH INSTALLED ENGINE FOR MANUFACTURING PUBLIC TRANSPORT BUSES AND COMPLETELY KNOCK DOWN (CKD) FOR MANUFACTURING COMMERCIAL TRANSPORT.

Article 1

The provision in Article 1 paragraph (1) of Regulation of the Minister of Finance No. 61/PMK.10/2006 on relief of import duty on the import of bus chassis with installed engine for manufacturing public transport buses and Completely Knock Down (CKD) for manufacturing commercial transport shall be amended as follows:

"Article 1

(1) The import of chassis bus with installed engine for carrying 16 persons or over with internal combustion piston engine (diesel or semi diesel) or internal spark-ignition piston engine for manufacturing public transport buses as many as 3,000 units shall obtain relief of import duty so that the final tariff of import duty becomes 5% (five percent).

(2) The import of vehicle for carrying 16 (sixteen) persons or over in a Completely Knock Down (CKD) condition HS Ex. 8702.10 and HS 8702.90 for manufacturing commercial transport shall be given relief of import duty so that the final tariff of import duty becomes 5% (five percent).

(3) The import of vehicle for goods transport in CKD condition HS Ex. 8704.10. Ex 8704.21. Ex 8704.22, Ex 8704.23, Ex 8704.32 and Ex 8704.90 for manufacturing commercial transport shall be given relief of import duty so that the final tariff becomes 5% (five percent)."

Article 2

The regulation shall come into force as from the date of stipulation and be retroactive to March 10, 2007.

For public cognizance, the regulation shall be published in State Gazette of the Republic of Indonesia.
